Fair Housing
Ensuring equal access to rental housing and homeownership opportunities is a vital component of the United States federal housing policy. It is illegal to discriminate in housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familal status, or disability. Alternative Accommodations
The Housing Partnership, Inc. is committed to meeting the unique needs some clients may have when attempting to use our services. Below is a list of some of the ways we offer alternative accommodations.
- Our phone system can utilize the Relay Missouri 711 system for clients who would need written messages switched to audio messages, or vice versa, when communicating with our agency. This service can also translate between English and Spanish. More information can be found here: https://relaymissouri.com/relay-service/text-telephone/
- We can reach out to local agencies who may be able to provide language interpretation or translation services for clients whose primary language is not English.
- Our Homebuyer Orientations are held via Zoom, an online video platform. Closed captioning is used as needed.
- Our online Homebuyer Education Course is offered in English and Spanish.
- Zoom is the typical method for providing one-on-one counseling services, but phone and face-to-face counseling could occur if requested by the client.
- If the client requires a physically accessible meeting space in person, then accommodations can be made at the local library if our office space is not sufficient.
