Help Support Affordable Housing-
One in three households struggle with housing costs that threaten their financial security. During these trying times, income has become increasingly unstable due to the economic upheaval caused by the COVID-19 crisis. Jobs have been lost, and many of those jobs may not be replaced. Families who were already living on the edge of collapse are finding themselves closer every day to losing their housing or being unable to maintain its condition.
Housing is one of the most basic needs that many of us take for granted every day. For so many, it remains a source of anxiety and is always out of reach. The Housing Partnership focuses on bridging that housing gap. But not just housing, quality housing that is safe and affordable.
The Housing Partnerships helps with housing in a variety of ways. We provide homebuyer counseling and down payment assistance to first time homeowners as they begin their path to homeownership. Additionally, we provide significant home repair grants to existing low income and elderly homeowners to make necessary repairs and stabilize their current housing situation. This includes major system repairs such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing and roof repairs that allow residents to safely age in place. And finally, The Housing Partnership rehabs and creates new affordable housing in the Lemay community, which increases the overall housing quality in the community and provides a safe and affordable place to live.
Now more than ever, we need your help. Strong neighborhoods and communities benefit the entire St. Louis region. While we coordinate the work, we need help from you to continue these beneficial services. Your tax-deductible gift to The Housing Partnership allows us to provide home repairs to stabilize a neighbor’s home. It allows us to assist a first-time home buyer with counseling to become default-resistant homeowners and down payment assistance to purchase a home to raise their family.
We understand it may be difficult this year, but every gift helps. Thank you for your support and we look forward to continuing to serve the Lemay community to fulfill our mission to create and preserve healthy and affordable homes, neighborhoods, and financially stable households.
