The Housing Partnership was among five area non-profits receiving grant awards from the Federal Home Loan Bank System’s Affordable Housing Program at a grant award program February 11, 2013 at the University of Missouri St. Louis.
The Housing Partnership received a $300,000 grant sponsored by First Missouri Credit Union. The agency will use the funding to assist in making both interior and exterior repairs to 30 homes. The grant will be leveraged with funds from St. Louis County Port Authority and Missouri Housing Trust Fund and provide up to $10,000 in assistance. Repairs include major work on roofs, plumbing and electrical systems and HVAC equipment. Smaller repairs, usually performed by volunteers, include interior painting, window caulking and concrete restoration.
