The Mortgage Payment Assistance (MPA) program is available for certain households who have experienced a financial hardship due to a loss of income resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible households who are behind in their mortgage payments can receive up to 6 months of assistance to bring them current on their mortgage loan. Late fees will not be covered in the assistance. Homeowners must be able to become current on their mortgage loan with this assistance.
If you owe more than 6 months of payments, we can accept a pledge letter from another agency verifying they will cover the remaining months/amount owed. If you cannot cover the remaining back-owed payments, we could possibly explore additional options with your loan servicer to get you current.
To see if you might possibly qualify, ask yourself these questions:
YES or NO – Did the person(s) listed on the mortgage loan have a decrese of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic?
YES or NO – Are you currently behind in your mortgage payments?
YES or NO – Do you live in the property? (For multi-unit properties, do you live in one of the units?)
YES or NO – Is the property located in St. Louis County?
YES or NO – Is your annual household income (from all people living in the home) no more than the limits indicated below?
